The WorldPop SDI team is developing and maintaining a spatially enabled PostgreSQL database (PostGIS) to allow efficient access to large data sets by WorldPop researchers developing models. From functional specification, design to development, testing and ongoing support, WorldPop SDI provide a project-related database development service to help manage WorldPop geospatial datasets.

WorldPop researchers can retrieve data from the PostgreSQL database and automate complex data analysis, even if they are not an IT expert.
